It appears that A Game of Fools is once again in need of a new artist. Today's comic (which will actually be going online sometime tommorow), will be Danielle's last, as she is now going to be working on a different webcomic. The next two weeks or so (and possibly more) worth of comics will be drawn by a couple of guest artists.

As a result, I am looking for a new permanent artist, who's able to keep up with a two day a week update schedule. I'm pretty easy going with the update schedule - I'd like to aim for getting most up by deadline, but I don't exactly expect you to put own life on hold for it or anything. The occassional late update is fine as long as it doesn't happen too often, and with Danielle at least I would occasional draw them myself if she didn't have enough time.

I'm pretty open to most drawing styles - I'd like to see what new stuff a potential artist can bring to the comic instead of expecting them to copy any of the previous styles. Heavily realistic or really stylised, whatever, I'm pretty easy. My only major stipulation is that it's in colour (I'm not a big fan of black and white comics) and it's suitable for a comedic strip (so no 90s extreme or moody film noir or something). In the end, I'd be happy with something quite simple/stylised if it makes it easier for you to meet deadline - though detailed and realistic is fine too as long as it isn't too much work for you to churn out twice a week. I'd prefer not too much copy and paste as well, but a little is fine.

I won't be able to pay you for your services (anyone who checks this site on a regular basis will know I'm lucky if I make more than 4-5 cents a day on advertising), but in the (fairly unlikely) event A Game of Fools does become a success you'd of course get 50% of the profits, etc, etc. And, yeah, if you want to have more of a role than just the artist and actually influence the story, writing, etc I'm pretty cool with that too- it's always good to have fresh ideas. But if all you want to do is draw that's cool too.

UPDATE 13/07/09: Today's comic should be going up sometime tomorow. I'm just putting this up here instead of making a new news post so the above information doesn't get knocked off the front page.
